PART 2: THE SERVICES

What are the Services?

Measured empowers the growth marketer to test-learn-grow by operationalizing channel incrementality measurement through experimental design. We take the pain out of sophisticated media channel experimentation. Customers rely on Measured’s software and consultative customer service to help them grow incremental revenue from their marketing efforts.

Measured runs always-on split-test studies to deduce incrementality via tags and vendor dashboards. Measured offers retargeting measurement services, catalog measurement services, and cross-channel reporting and decisioning.  Measured also offers Third Party Reporting services to its Customers, but those services are described in Part 3 below, not in this section.

For the avoidance of doubt, this privacy policy also applies to any access to the Services via a mobile device.

What information do you collect via the Services and how is this information used?

If you use our Services, we will not collect or use information except as set forth in our agreement with you.  If you have any questions about how we collect or use information in the provision of our Services that are not addressed below or in our agreement with you, please contact us using the contact details provided at the bottom of this privacy policy.

Retargeting Measurement Services

If you order Retargeting Measurement Services, we collect: each page-view on Customer’s website, along with the cookieID, browser type, IP address, transaction events on the Customer’s website with consumer’s hashedEmail, customerID, purchase SKUs, revenue, cookieID, and 3rd party cross-device data to identify consumers across devices. Measured’s website pixel is placed on Customer websites to track incrementality experiments. The pixel collects vendor data such as conversions, order ids, skus, hashed email addresses, unique customer id, units ordered, order revenue, IP address and user agent.  Measured does not use impression pixels or click tagging.

As part of the Retargeting Measurement Services, Measured uses cookies. This is the only Measured product or service that uses cookies as part of the service. This service utilizes cookies placed in sites and apps to help customers advertise more effectively. It places ‘analytical’ and ‘operational’ persistent cookies. Analytical cookies allow us to identify visitors and measure how they interact with our advertisers’ sites and advertisements. This helps to improve the effectiveness of advertising by delivering personalized ads to the visitors who find them most relevant. Operational cookies contain no personal information and are support operations of the advertising system such as segment management and pixel forwarding.

As an example of the use of cookies and tracking in advertising, you may be shown an ad placed by a third-party platform as you browse Customer websites, use Customer mobile apps, or interact on social networks. A click or tap on the ad will take you to our Customer’s site or app. At that point, a Measured beacon would place a cookie on your browser and our Services would analyze your usage of the site or app. Please note that any third party platforms will have their own privacy policies, and are not governed by this privacy policy.

You may opt out of seeing interest-based ads from us or our third party advertising partners on your desktop browser and/or mobile web browser by visiting the DAA at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.

Also, certain versions of your device’s operating system permit you to opt out of interest based advertising. Please visit your device settings to limit such tracking.

Please note that at this time we do not honor web browser Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals or other similar mechanisms.

Please also note that when you opt out of interest-based ads, you will still see generic ads, but they will no longer be based on your interests or behavior.  Note that this activity is not controlled by Measured.

Catalog Measurement Services

Measured collects catalog data from our Customer’s catalog vendors. Measured collects both house and prospect catalog data from Customers. If you order Catalog Measurement Services, we collect: transaction data for eCommerce and retail stores with consumer’s hashedEmail, hashed consumer’s name, hashed address, customerID, catalog sent date, number of catalogs sent, purchase SKUs, revenue, and advertising campaign targeting data capturing list of consumers receiving catalogs for each campaign. This information is used to inform Measured on incremental lift. All personal information data collected in pursuit of Services is encrypted and hashed by the Customer to anonymize users before being sent to Measured. Personal information is not collected, retained or saved by Measured in any form.

Cross-Channel Reporting & Decisioning Services

If you are receiving Cross-Channel Reporting & Decisioning Services, we collect: transaction data for eCommerce and retail stores with consumer’s hashedEmail, customerID, purchase SKUs, revenue, and aggregate advertising campaign reporting from third party platforms. Measured collects data via feeds sent directly to an S3 bucket specific to each Customer.  Our Customers send us this data in lieu of an API to attempt to protect against personal information sharing. Data feeds contain order id, skus, order units, unique user id, hashed email address, hashed address, order revenue, country, brand name and order type. All personal information data collected in pursuit of Services is encrypted and hashed by the Customer to anonymize users before being sent to Measured. Personal information is not collected, retained or saved by Measured in any form.

Third Party Reporting

Measured also offers Third Party Reporting services to its Customers, but those services are described in Part 3 below, not in this section.

Dashboard

A Customer’s account and dashboard with Measured is private and only visible to the applicable Customer. Customers can only see aggregate level data including campaign information. Customers do not have the ability to view user-level information or hashed email addresses in the Measured dashboard.

What information do you collect about Customers using the Services and how do you use it?

In the agreement, you also consent that in order to provide the Services to you, we may collect information about how you use the Services, including your frequency of use, the amount and type of data you use with the Platform, and the actions you perform within the Services. If you use our Services, we will not collect or use information except as set forth in our agreement with you.  For the avoidance of doubt, we do not collect personal data regarding Customers as part of the Service, other than as required to operate the Service (i.e. an email address may be a login).

Collecting Information about how our Customers use the Services helps us provide our Customers with better service, including understanding which features are the most interesting to our Customers.

We use Customer information to create a Customer’s account, to provide the Customer with Services it has ordered, to communicate with our Customers about Services purchased, to offer additional Services, to bill our Customers, and to fulfill the terms of any agreement we have with our Customers. We also use the information to the extent necessary to enforce our agreements and to prevent imminent harm to persons or property. Certain Information may be used for anti-fraud and anti-theft purposes. We will use Customer information to send out important notices, if necessary.

We use the non-personal information that we collect for such purposes as:  analyzing how Customer use various features within the Services; improving the Services; enhancing users’ experiences with Services; creating new Services or improving our existing Services; and managing our business, and to comply with legal and/or regulatory requirements.

We may use non-personal information for internal research and data analysis to help with product development, and to help us create and improve our Services and for our own advertising and marketing purposes (but only in anonymized or aggregated form).

If a Customer no longer wishes to receive our Services, the Customer may deactivate its account by emailing our Customer Support at info@Measured.com or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below. We will respond to your request within 30 days.  Please note that any such deactivation shall be performed in accordance with the terms and conditions of our agreement with you.

Use of the Services by our Customers

We do not control the content or type of data that our Customers use with the Services, except as set forth in our agreement with each Customer. The data provided by a Customer belongs to the Customer, and is used, disclosed and protected by them according to their privacy policy, not this privacy policy. We process information provided by our Customers as directed by each Customer, and in accordance with our agreement with the particular Customer.  If you are a Customer, we will not use your data or content except as set forth in our agreement with you.

We acknowledge that you have a right to access your Personal Information. Please note that if data is provided by a Customer for use with our Services, that Customer controls the data, and it is provided to us only in an anonymized form.  If you make a request to use to remove this data, we will notify our Customer, and also respond to you within a reasonable timeframe. If you provide information to a Customer of ours as part of their use of the Services, that Customer decides how long to retain that information. If the Customer terminates their access to our Services, they may receive access to the aggregated, anonymized information stored within the Services pursuant to our agreement with them.
